One of life’s pleasures is walking my dog Bruno.I usually do it once I’ve put the children to bed and said goodnight for the 49th time, and my partner is either blogging or
working on her website or just relaxing.
It’s a great opportunity to get in some exercise, and also to think about what’s happened that day. We all lead busy lives and at times it seems to be so much more demanding than it used to be. We all have deadlines, expectations, apprehension and promises.
But walking your dog allows you some time out to reflect on what happened that day and often in those quiet moments you get to revisit some of your wins, and some of your mistakes. You might even get the chance to create some new dreams.
One thing that I often do is take my iPod with me and catch-up with the latest audio book, or marketing CD that I’ve received in the mail.
It’s amazing how many ideas you come up with on your walk. I always carry a little notebook with me, or use my iPhone to make notes of any ideas that I come across, hear or that pop into my head.
So maybe next time instead of sitting in front of the TV, why not take a walk and reflect on your day and plan for the next one.
Good selling
