Stay Awake, Be Informed – Fun Last Month

Thought I’d share a little story from my recent work with you.

Here in Australia at the end of last month our prime minister was kicked out of office in a vicious, sudden coup and we now have our very first female prime minister. The very next morning a female voice I use a lot sent me a demo of her taking off the new prime minister. She is very good at it and I loved it but knew I had to move fast.

By 9 a.m. that morning I had written 3 ads for 3 of my clients. One of them bite straight away and we were in a studio early afternoon recording, with it going to air in Canberra early evening.

How good was that?

The client has had tremendous feedback from it – some good some bad but at least they noticed it.

Lesson – be nimble, stay awake, be informed… there’s opportunity everywhere.
