7 Ideas To Offer Your Clients
I am often asked by media sales people if there are any ideas they can discuss with advertisers on how to present their product to
the market, like a checklist. Here are 7 ideas to ask your client before they advertise their product with you.
- Demographics: Is their product being aimed at the right media to reach that age group? Is the product in the right area to reach them?
- Psychographics:Is the product being aimed at the right lifestyle? Is the advertising in the right media to reach that lifestyle or socio-economic group?
- Product: Is it the right product? Does it have a market? Is it solid, reputable and dependable? Is it unique? Do people want it?
- Price: Does it represent good value? How does it compare to others in the market?
- Market: What is the market? What are the catchment areas, regions, provinces, and county?
- Location: Is it in a prime location? Can it easily be found? Is parking a problem? Does the location’s population suit the product being sold? Do other influences create floor or passing customer traffic?
- Store Presentation: Does the store appeal to buyers? Does it reflect its marketing position? Is it clean and bright? Does it reflect the products being sold? Does it invite customers in? Is the layout easy to shop in? Is it easy to find products?
Use this checklist with your clients, they will appreciate it and see you as part of the team.
There is nothing more annoying to a client if a sales person is just trying to sell them advertising space. They are looking for more, and with these checklists you can add more value to you clients.
What other ideas can you offer clients?
